A Dog Fancy Fav got me in trouble!!

I know where the coming in from doing my business outside treats are.
I have known since I was a Pup. There are always good eats in there, but some
tempt me more than others.
BOL one time when I was a young pup I opened the treat box lid myself in the middle of the night and was munching away but the folks woke up heard me and I got caught so they fixed the lid and now I can't just flip it open on my own  anymore, GOL!
2 treats in one
But sometimes trouble or not, I just can't resist so when Mom put Turkey and Cranberry Muttos in there, yep you heard me there's two flavors in one ...well I wait 'till she opens the box and then I stuff my whole head in like I haven't eaten in weeks! No wonder they are a Dog Fancy Favorite to pamper your pet.

Now the other thing that gets me in trouble is according to Mom actually a Hip and Joint Supplement and not really a treat.they are even carried in some Veterinarians offices. Well you could have fooled me!! Sea Jerky is sooo good I actually almost take mom's fingers off too!! Really I think there should be a warning label on them for humans, BOL

LOvin' my bamboo collar, Movies. and THE RIVER TRIP!

BOL Fellow canines!!

Long time no bark! I'm at Mom's mercy for blog time as she will not let me paw keys alone, GOL!

So First let me bark of Bamboo...just got a new Bamboo Pooch Collar made by Wagging Green, a canine cool company that helps out all kinds of pooch and planet causes! It is so comfy , antibacterial...not as much bling as my slider charm "Tay Czar" Collar but a comfy, functional fun fashionable look! Tara got one too, of course .Hers' is called Love A Dog !

I think Rin and Kayja may be next...really we don't wear collars much around here except to hold our tags...one benefit to country livin', big fenced in play areas and not being tied! But hey every now and then a dog's got to strut their neck wear!

Finally, I told you before we NEVER get to see movies 'till they're on Pay Per view...Mom is frugal(to bark it tactfully) when it comes to such things!
I got to see "Little Red Riding Hood" Pretty cool, kept us guessing.
I really thought it was going to be the "Better to eat you with" Grandma, BOL

Now...last but not least, the River rat trip! HOT HOT HOT unless you stayed in the water...lucky for me mom feeds us Sea Jerky ...cos don't tell anyone , but this rock diver swimming machine is feeling it a bit more lately!

....tying to help Mom pick some new products...give me a bark about what you want to see more of, toys, collar styles, treats???
Waggin off for now!

A Treat is Worth a Thousand Barks

To our dogs, food is love – and security, affirmation, and reinforcement. When we give our dogs what trainers refer to as “high-value” treats – foods that are especially sweet, meaty, or pungent – our message gets through to them especially loud and clear.
It’s simply pointless to spend so much time and energy finding the best healthy foods for your dog if you are going to subvert your own efforts at health-building with low-quality, additive-filled garbage.

Bad breath ...more than just a faux Paw

Barks Fellow Canines!
the following is by guest blogger...My Mom!

Hmm,
Eat some dry kibble or reach for the Crest and the toothbrush, for most of us this is a no brainier.

But when it comes to Fifi and Fido there seems to be some confusion.
Many pet parents seem to feel feeding dry kibble and giving a dental chew now and again will result in movie star dog smiles.
In general, dry kibble does out-perform wet food when it comes to Fido or Fifi’s dental health. However since dogs use their back teeth to chew this leaves about 32 other teeth not being scraped at all with that dry kibble

Increasingly we seem to be finding out how established medical care is just as beneficial for our pets as for us. Why should anyone be shocked to learn that brushing a dogs teeth (or not) has the same consequences as it does for our own? Yet many of us bulk at the notion. Spare The Tartar...Enjoy Better Health!
Much has been documented on the detrimental effects of poor dental care on the overall health of our best friends.
Proper dental care isn’t just a matter of keeping your dog’s breath fresh — it’s critical for his overall health. Dogs don’t usually get cavities, but they’re susceptible to periodontal disease. Without proper dental care, approximately 75 percent of all dogs develop this condition by age 4.
With the growing selection of doggie dental care products, It's Never Been Easier to Care for your best friends Teeth .

Dental chews ,treats , biscuits continue to improve rapidly and help control plaque This is the same with rawhide and specially designed chew toys. Dental sprays, gels snd water additives can reduce plaque and tarter ,think of these as the equivalent of Us human ‘s Listerine and freshen up gums, all useful in a game plan for healthy teeth and gums , but not a replacement for brushing.
There is still no substitute for good old fashioned brushing and although Doggie dentures are now a possibility, I don’t imagine your pet is going to enjoy them nor your wallet.
